JOIN US FOR AN EXPERIENCE IN SUMI-E, THE ANCIENT ART OF JAPANESE INK BRUSH PAINTING. Traditionally, this beautiful art form captures subjects from nature, like flowers and birds. You’ll start by preparing your own ink, then learn how to create different tones and brush techniques. Using rice paper, you’ll bring your own interpretations of nature to life, expressing your unique perspective through brush pressure, rhythm, and confident strokes. Sumi-e is a meditative practice. Not only will you master brush techniques, but you’ll also engage in a reflective process that helps you discover more about yourself through your art. Please feel free to bring a snack / lunch with you.
