Pastel Drawing & Painting (Tues morning)

Service Description

Come and explore the intrinsic and unique value of pastel in this term class. This class is designed for those who are interested in gaining experience and knowledge of materials and techniques in all forms of pastel drawing and painting. Dry and oil pastels plus oil bars will be the main mediums used. OPEN TO ALL LEVELS - from beginners through to advanced. A list of materials will be given out in the first session. We will discuss this and decide what is appropriate for your needs. *Do not go and purchase expensive equipment at this stage* Materials to bring to the first class: - Pastels dry or oil or whatever you have in your kit - A kneadable eraser - Fixative or very cheap hairspray - Soft brushes or touchons - Paper (pastel paper or toothy watercolour paper) - Soft cloth, mask if you have an allergy and gloves if you don’t want to get dirty - An image that is personal to you for discussion
