The following classes are open to both members and non-members.
LIFE DRAWING AND
SATURDAY 17 JULY
All levels welcome.
Students will explore closely the form of the model by focussing on the implied movement/energy and angles inherent in the pose. Familiarity is achieved by working both fast and slow, developing knowledge of both the pose and specific features of the model.
A knowledge of the features of clay, slip and sgrafitto is also developed.
Students will achieve a selection of drawings, a set of of small pinch figures and a larger, more finished piece. More details will be emailed upon enrolment. Over 18 years only.

WORKSHOP OVER TWO SUNDAYS
25 JULY AND 1 AUGUST
In this series of painting lessons, local Artist Vivi Palegeorge will share her excitement and love of painting Beaumaris in acrylics or oils.
In the footsteps of Clarice Beckett and the Heidelberg school, Vivi will demonstrate how to identify the essence of our local landscape and capture light, by exploring colour, tone & painterly techniques.
Students will finish a painting in each of the two 3-hour sessions and be guided with how to compose, simplify and plan striking pieces of work.
This class is for painters with some experience. Students will need to supply their own painting materials and canvas. A list of required materials will be emailed to all participants. This course is for adults.

MAKE A MUG SET
SUNDAY 13 JUNE
Learn the basics of hand building and make a set of mugs! This is a fun introduction to hand building with clay. We'll fire and finish your mugs with your chosen glaze and you'll be notified when your work is ready for collection.
This course is for adults. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

SUNDAY 18 JULY
Come and enjoy a relaxing, meditative Sunday and learn the art of basket-weaving.
You'll begin a woven basket using Madagascan Raffia, exploring the many options you can take to shape your basket.
Weaving a basket takes time, so even if you don’t finish yours during the workshop, you’ll learn how to do so at home. Gain valuable insight into the ways colour can be integrating into your weaving. All materials included.
