ROBYN DOWNIE
PRESIDENT
Robyn is recently retired from the Department of Education. Robyn has worked as a manager in community education for over 30 years & has seen first-hand the enormous value of inclusive and diverse program delivery. She has a Grad Dip in Community Services Administration and Marketing. She has been a keen member and former committee member of BAG. Robyn enjoys both painting and ceramics.

TRACY LITTLEJOHN
SECRETARY
Tracy is a newly retired speech pathologist, specialising in rehabilitation following acquired brain injury. She developed her practice Access Speech Pathology over 25 years, as well as working in a number of public health settings.

She is enjoying learning new skills in both ceramics and painting and is loving the welcoming and interesting community at the Beaumaris Art Group.

DAVID LEWIS
TREASURER
David is a semi-retired Chartered Accountant who spent his career in a Big 4 accounting firm where he served 38 years as a partner in Australia and the UK. He is in the process of completing a Fine Arts degree and enjoys attending classes at BAG which have including life drawing and painting, particularly abstract painting.
He is also a member of en plein air Painting Group 2 and enjoys participating when time permits. David hopes to bring his accounting experience to add value to the financial reporting of BAG’s performance to facilitate the Committee’s decision making.

PIETRO GIORDANO
COMMITTEE MEMBER
Born in Sicily, Italy and after migrating to Australia,, following his school years, Pietro decided to commit to studies in art and design and completed a BFA Degree at the School of Art, University of Tasmania in Ceramics, Sculpture, Painting, Drawing and Design.

In 1987 , Pietro joined CBG Architecture and Interior Design, becoming Partner and Design Director in 1997. He was instrumental in providing a stronger creative direction for the practice which is continuing today. Pietro regularly exhibits his painting and sculpture work in Melbourne and interstate. His passion for Art and Design has been a life journey of fulfilment and enjoyment.

ROBERT HARWOOD
COMMITTEE MEMBER
Robert Harwood is a local architect with 30 years experience working on commercial and residential buildings. Growing up in Sandringham, Robert has strong family roots to the area and an understanding of the local environment and lifestyle. He currently lives on Reserve Rd 200m from the BAG building.

Robert has assisted BAG over the last 3 years with requirements for the new building, liaising with Council on the design and delivery. Robert’s current work on Committee has been to streamline activities for business cost management and regulatory requirements.

SANDRA D'MELLO
COMMITTEE MEMBER
Sandra has a background as a primary school teacher, trained in International Baccalaureate and has taught at Mentone Girls Grammar. As an artist, she has an interest in bookbinding, print-making and painting in all media, recently including textiles in her art. She has studied at the National Art School in Sydney.

Sandra is a member of the Victorian Artists Society and exhibits there, as well as other galleries in Victoria, including ArtSpace in Wonthaggi. She is also a volunteer at the State Library of Victoria. Sandra's particular interest is in making connections with local artists and bringing their expertise and knowledge to Beaumaris Art Group.

CHANTELLE ST JOHN FOGGO
COMMITTEE MEMBER
Chantelle's corporate career has seen her work in tech, engineering, visual merchandising and promotions.She has designed and project managed store openings and fashion shows for high profile fashion brands, and product launches indoors and outdoors for global tech companies. Everything from permits and photo booths to skateboarders and sandpits.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Chantelle demonstrates a fiercely independent style, quickly adapting learned techniques to new applications, creating highly distinctive works. She is a strong advocate for hidden disability and the power of art and community as means of healing.

CHERYL TAYLOR
COMMITTEE MEMBER
Cheryl has worked in Broadcasting as a Sound Engineer and Producer for 40 years, 25 of those with ABCTV. She has studied AV Technology, Media, Music and Architecture.

She has been a past BAG Committee Member and for the past few years, has convened 2D Open Studio sessions at BAG. She regularly exhibits her paintings.

DI WILLIAMS
COMMITTEE MEMBER
Diane has a background in both IT and accounting; she worked on banking and accounting software systems for over 15 years. Later Diane worked as an independent BAS Agent for a variety of small businesses.
Since retirement, she is still working with a small Not-for-Profit opera organization, where she provides financial, payroll & business support.
Since the 1980’s she has developed an interest in painting and ceramics, taking pottery classes at Potters Cottage in Warrandyte and life drawing classes at the VAS. In 2014, she completed a year Diploma in Ceramics. She is a current committee member of a rural Landcare group and also a Potters group. Painting is a key interest and works well with Di’s love of travelling around the country in her campervan. Di regularly includes her ceramics and paintings in exhibitions
