CATE RAYSON
PRESIDENT
Cate is the Managing Director of My Architect, based in Beaumaris. Cate studied Visual Arts (Hons) at university, working as an advertising and branding copywriter for leading design firms for two decades in Melbourne and London.
She grew up surrounded by art-making, thanks to her mother’s career as a ceramics, painting and drawing teacher at secondary level. She began ceramics classes at BAG in 2018 and is keen to continue.

CHERYL TAYLOR
VICE PRESIDENT
Cheryl has worked in Broadcasting as a Sound Engineer and Producer for 40 years, 25 of those with ABCTV. She has studied AV Technology, Media, Music and Architecture.
She has been a past BAG Committee Member and for the past few years, has convened 2D Open Studio sessions at BAG. She regularly exhibits her paintings.

LAURA BEILBY
SECRETARY
Laura has worked in the visual arts for the past 20 years in the UK, France and Australia.
Laura was the Paris Archive Director at the renowned Magnum Photo Agency, studio manager for French photographer Marc Riboud and photo editor John G. Morris, she managed the 2010 FotoFreo Photo Festival in Fremantle, and was the Program Coordinator for the City of Melbourne’s Creative Spaces initiative. Currently Laura works as an independent curator and arts manager.

ROBYN DOWNIE
COMMITTEE MEMBER
Robyn is the Manager of Stakeholder Engagement, South-East Victoria, at the Department of Education. She has been a keen member and former committee member of BAG.
Robyn has worked in community education for over 30 years & has seen first-hand the enormous value of inclusive and diverse program delivery. She has a Grad Dip in Community Services Administration and qualifications in Marketing.
