About the event
Natalie Fernandes is a South African artist and teacher who has made Melbourne her home since 2013. She works primarily in mixed media. This practice has developed over years of teaching many different mediums and the discovery that when combining different mediums from diverse practices, the possibilities are endless. All the traditional rules of appropriately using art materials are abandoned and the results are surprising and exciting. This has formed the basis for her art practice as well as her passion for helping her students break into freedom of expression in their own art making.
