Ever dreamt of throwing clay on a potter's wheel and never had a chance? Maybe you've never enjoyed the pleasure of working with clay at all. If so, this 2 hour 'taster' wheel workshop is for you. You will have a go at making a simple plate and we will fire and glaze it for you.

About the event
Curious about ceramics but not sure where to start? This hands-on workshop is the perfect introduction to the art of wheel throwing. Designed for complete beginners, you’ll learn the basics of working with clay on the pottery wheel in a relaxed and supportive environment.
With expert guidance from your tutor, you’ll get a feel for the materials, try your hand at making a simple plate. All materials supplied. We'll fire and glaze your plate for you and let you know when it's ready for collection. Please allow up to 3 weeks for your piece to be fully dried, then fired and glazed. Workshop includes 1kg of clay,bisque firing, glazing and glaze firing of your plate.
PLEASE BRING ALONG:
• Your own apron
