Ever wanted to explore the art of millinery? Here's your chance to create a hand made silk flower hat using a technique of cut circles. Ready to wear for weddings, spring racing events and more. BEGINNERS WELCOME.

About the event
The beautiful silk flower is made with white Habotai Japanese silk, which is bonded in two layers. Each petal is then cut and positioned to create a rose like single large flower approx. 20cm in diameter.
Once the flower is created, the next task is hand painting the flower with metallic watercolours and the petals are curled to create a sense of realism. The flower is then attached to a small hat base- which fits within the flower. Then it can be finished with elastics , lining etc. Ready to wear for spring racing events / weddings etc. BEGINNERS WELCOME.
