MASTERCLASS WITH PETER SMALES
In this half day workshop, Peter Smales will demonstrate painting a landscape in oils. Then students are welcome to work in oil paints or acrylics to paint a landscape under Peter's individual instruction. Principles and strategies around composition and colour mixing will be explored as part of the session.
The basic artist’s palette requires only six colours: warm and cool of the three primary colours plus white. Peter will demonstrate how any colour and tone value can be mixed using these six basic colours:
Lemon yellow
Cadmium yellow
