Observational drawing is the fundamental skill of drawing what you directly see, focusing on accurate representation of shapes, proportions, textures, and light/shadow, rather than drawing from imagination. It builds core abilities like perspective and detail recognition. It teaches you to look at subjects (objects, people, landscapes) and translate those visual cues onto paper, often by breaking things down into basic forms and noting tonal values to create depth. All levels welcome.
