This workshop will explore the themes of the ocean using collage techniques. We will observe and study shapes of Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary fish and sea shells and will incorporate our observations into our seascape collages by cutting & pasting our drawings and images from recycled magazines.

About the event
This workshop will explore the themes of the ocean using collage techniques. We will observe and study shapes of Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary fish and sea shells and will incorporate our observations into our seascape collages by cutting and pasting our drawings and images from recycled magazines. Please feel free to bring old magazines, books or sketches featuring ocean life that we can recycle and use in our artworks.
Brigita Lastauskaite is a Lithuanian-born Australian artist, based in Melbourne since 1998. She holds a Master degree of Fine Art at the Vilnius Art Academy in Lithuania and was a recipient of a scholarship at the International Summer Academy in Salzburg (Austria). She is a finalist at the Hutchings, Fisher’s Ghost, Blacktown & Omnia Art Awards and received the Art Residencies in Finland and Lithuania.
