About the event
The Robin Boyd Foundation are the custodians of Robin Boyd's family home (known as the Walsh Street House) in South Yarra. Since 2005, the Foundation has maintained and managed the house as a living house museum, which is internationally recognised as a unique and iconic expression of mid-century architecture.
The tour includes a presentation tracing the Boyd family lineage, from convict arrivals, to brewing fortunes and forging artistic communities. This multi-generational legacy led the Boyd's to be recognised as Australia's foremost artistic dynasty. Foundation volunteers share the stories behind the esteemed art collection of Robin and Patricia Boyd, and the artists they befriended and supported.Walsh Street and the Art World
