SMALL SCULPTURE - 4 WEEKS

Service Description

Learn the basis of working with clay to create a small sculpture using the carving method. Topics covered will include: 1. Translating a 2D image into 3D object. 2. Using drawing , illustrations or photos to plan your sculpture. 3. Proportions and ratios. 4. Cutting and carving techniques. 5.Emptying the sculpture 6. Surface decorations, texture Tutor: Beata Dorain NB: Please note that there is NO CLASS ON 16 SEPT as we have allowed one week for your sculpture to dry before firing. In the final week, (23 September) we will glaze your piece. Adult class (18+) INCLUDES: • Expert teaching from our highly experienced tutors. • Purchase a half bag or full bag of clay when you sign up. You can also bring along clay that you have purchased previously from BAG. Please note that we cannot allow clays in the studio that have been purchased outside of BAG due to Council safety requirements. • Use of our studio pottery tools • All decorating, glazing and firing • Any additional clay, materials, firing and glazing will attract additional charges.
